Green Initiatives

A greener facility begins at our own gates. Through regular plantation drives, Pegma and its employees have planted trees across and around our Ajmer site — improving air quality, providing shade and habitat, and offsetting a portion of our operational footprint.

These drives are also a point of pride and participation for our workforce: a shared, hands-on commitment to the environment we all live in, repeated year after year.

Under our One Container, One Plant initiative, Pegma plants a tree for every container we export — tying our global growth directly to a growing footprint of green cover at home.

In a water-stressed region like Rajasthan, responsible water use is non-negotiable. Pegma has installed rainwater harvesting infrastructure that captures rainwater and recharges it into the ground rather than letting it run to waste.

This reduces our draw on local supplies and helps sustain the water table for the community around us — a small piece of infrastructure with a meaningful, compounding benefit over time.

Pegma powers a meaningful share of its manufacturing with clean, on-site solar energy. Our rooftop solar installation supplies a substantial part of the facility's electricity, cutting both our operating emissions and our reliance on fossil-fuel grid power.

Investing in renewable generation is one of the most direct ways we honour the 'Zero Effect' half of our ZED certification — turning a sustainability commitment into measurable, everyday impact.

Even our cooling systems are chosen with the planet in mind. Pegma uses low-GWP 'green' refrigerants in its cooling infrastructure, avoiding the high global-warming-potential gases still common across industrial cooling.

It is a detail most customers never see — but it reflects how deeply our environmental discipline runs through the whole operation, not just the parts on display.
